Southern Food Tour Launch Party at the Goat Farm

image003The Southern Food Tour kicks off at the Goat Farm on Saturday, February 16 with a pig roast, celebrity chefs, local beer, cocktails, film and music celebrating Southern Food heritage.  Chefs Ford Fry, Kevin Gillespie, Adam Evans, E.J. Hodgkinson and Suzanne Vizethann will be highlighting varying regions of the South from barbecue to Cajun to the Classics. Here is a taste of what you can expect at the event:

– Pig roast done two different ways by chefs Ford Fry and Kevin Gillespie
– Gumbo by Adam Evans, Executive chef at The Optimist
– Tamales by E.J. Hodgkinson at JCT Kitchen
– Chicken Biscuit Sliders by Buttermilk Kitchen
– Beer from Monday Night Brewing
– Cocktails from American Spirit Whiskey
– Preview of the Short Film and Music from Blair Crimmins and the Hookers

According to their website, “Southern Food Tour’s mission is to be a distinctive voice for Southern Food to build awareness and community around Southern Food heritage by fostering the local chefs, farmers and artisans in the South who are defining Southern cuisine right now.”

Tickets are on sale now on Xorbia with general admission tickets starting at $45.00 and VIP tickets (early admission) starting at $55.00. Doors open at 5 p.m. for VIP ticket holders and 6 p.m. for general admission. The Goat Farm is located at 1200 Foster Street Northwest, Atlanta, GA 30318.
